The Journey of a Cult is often marked by distinct phases.

1. The Big Idea

An inspiring figure or figureheads propose an innovative concept pledging a cure for disconnected individuals.

So here we are. They’re getting ready to confront the system in Australia. The gunships are circling. Signs of trouble appear from the sidelines. An isolated player, vulnerable, anxious, the slogan POSITIVE INTENT displayed prominently as a symbol, has come staggering through the lines and is removed in secrecy for a temporary assignment elsewhere.

2. The Honeymoon Phase

Movement founders offer a reboot, optimism ahead, camaraderie, success together who all believe in the method.

How did it feel at first? A team united enjoying success. Ink. Strength. Jawlines. Peak performance vibes. Of course, England’s players often say they don’t use the label, amusingly since it’s not recognized, what was that spectacle?

But we know the concept. It’s the batsman executing a stroke so depraved it defies description. It’s the thrill of the captain in his final form, an expression conveying: thoughtful warrior, strong features, untamed style, so authentically Modern Savage you wouldn’t be surprised to notice and see him playing on the ground bare-chested holding a fish.

The team have been enclosed in this environment since childhood. Seeking change, to build a better atmosphere, they are mirroring their past, building another enclosure, an exclusive group, but now with 15 cool guys and a coach who wants you to be yourself if you fit the mold.

Stay present. Embrace challenges. But no matter how fast and far you run, you remain stuck.
