The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could assist the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them no alternative but to head to the northern region in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
