In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing helper".

These messages were released on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his identity by matching the dates, occurrences, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein discusses chartering a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the speech at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of Trump's closest aides in the run up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We're going to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Exchanges

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the embattled British leader at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so others see the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the people over here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the justice department should release all its files related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was renewed recently after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those mentioned the former president, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
